Manual invoice, on purpose. There is no checkout, no card form, no account, and nothing to store about you.
- Email
…with the subjectCOLA archive. You get back an order reference and a payment address. - Pay the amount to that address in …, putting the order reference in your own records.
- Reply with the transaction hash. Once it confirms you get a download link to the current build, and a link that keeps working for every later rebuild.
No refunds are needed for a dataset you can size up first: the free tier is the same pipeline, the same columns and the same normalisation, over a shorter window. If the free file is not useful to you, the paid one will not be either.
How it is built, and what I will not claim
- Source. TTB Public COLA Registry, ttbonline.gov/colasonline. US federal records; not subject to copyright (17 U.S.C. §105). Public, unauthenticated, no robots.txt on that host. One request per second, identified user-agent.
- The 1,000-row ceiling. Any search returns at most 1,000 rows however many it says matched. The corpus is collected one completed-date day at a time; a day that still overflows is split on the TTB-ID key range and recursed until it does not. Every day is stored with TTB's reported count beside the number of rows retrieved.
- What is missing on purpose. The applicant's name, street address, phone number and signatory — items 8, 12, 13, 17 and 18 of TTB F 5100.31 — are never fetched or stored. For a one-person winery those are a home address and a personal phone. Producer state and facility class are decoded from the permit number instead, which is a business identifier.
- What I do not claim. That this is complete beyond the coverage table, that TTB's own data is correct, or that a certificate here is still in force. Certificates get surrendered and revoked after issue. Every row carries a link to the original.
